Hi Goodmoring/Goodnight I am Darklight
i would like to say Congratulations on finishing the Lesson 1.
1.Superimposed Lines
Although your line are fraying on both ends ,I can see that you are trying to do it in the 1st although it is not perfect I can say it is good with enough practice you can master it.
Your lines are confident great job.
2.Ghosted Lines
Your lines are confident as I said earlier. Few overshooting which is not bad. a very litte few undershooting. You did great job hitting the start dot and end. It's actually so gOod
3.Ghosted Planes
It's so perfect that you have very confident line. Most of them hitting start to end dots.
Your execution are Awesome
4.Tables of Ellipses
Overall you did great job being confident and great job almost all of the circle are snuggles each other its so clean and beautiful. Although the circle are not accurate just keep practicing and you will master it.
5.Ellipses in Planes
Same as tables of ellipeses.
just be mindful on undershooting on circle. overshooting is better than undershooting those circle to establish confident circles. but overall did great
6.Funnels
Great work being confident
A few of the ellipse are not snugly against one another so be mindful of that. great Job
Great job on the minor axis (the line in the middle) it cut ellipses in 2 symetrical halves.
A few undershooting again just be mindful on that so next time you do it you won't do the same mistake.
7.Plotted Perspective
Great work on this.
I like you have overlap boxes, you could add a line weight to show which box is closer.
there is still alot of space that you can fit the boxes, I wish you could added more not a big deal thoug
8.Rough Perspective
your 1st box are not great you should not fix the mistake, but just be it and then be mindful on it next time.
Some of the lines are bit wobbles but the front of box are great
You did great job Hitting the VP of some lines
And plotting the front of the boxes
Few of the boxes in the 1st page is not hitting the intended corner of the box be mindful on that. To fix this you can do ghosted lines.
line weight should be added in the front of the boxes and not the inner or back
9.Rotated Boxes
It's so clean i like it.
The gaps are consistent
most of the boxes are pointing towards Vp
some of the boxes are not hitting the middle vp but you will have a lot opportunity on fixing this on 250 box just be mindfull on that.
A few wobbles but it's still good
You really did great Job on this thing.
10.Organic Perspective
Your lines here are confident,
You did great making small boxes as they are far.
Some of the lines in the boxes are vanishing towards the vanishing point great job.
Most of it are parallel to each other.
This is a very difficult exercise at this stage, so it was to be expected. You will have a lot more opportunity to practice this during the 250 Box Challenge.
Again congratulations on finishing the lesson one you did great overall
Next Steps:
CONGRSATASRTION YOU ARE NOW READY TO TAKE 250 BOXES CHALLENGE MAKE SURE TAKE YOUR TIME AND JOIN DISCORD TO ENGAGE IN THE COMMUNITY AND LET THEM CRITIQUE SOME OF YOUR BOXES FROM TIME TO TIME!
Sakura Pigma Microns
A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.
In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
