Hello I’ll be taking a look at your box challenge.

-So your linework is looking pretty good and you are using the ghosting method to good effect, all of your lines are looking pretty confident and straight which gives more solidity to your boxes.

-You did a great job adding the hatching lines, your work is pretty tidy and you clearly took your time to draw each one of them.

-You also did well when adding the lineweight, you should keep aiming to have each additional superimposed line to overlap with the preceding line, and to avoid any of its length being visible. Keep in mind that you also have to add just one superimposed line, you want to keep the lineweight subtle, if you overdo it you risk turning your drawings into mere graphic forms.

-As a minor observation, do not try to correct any lines by adding more, it just makes the mistake more visible so it is better to leave it like that. I can see very few instances where you made this mistake but it is important to keep it in mind.

-You did a great job when extending those lines away from the viewer, and as you moved through the challenge I can definitely notice an improvement when you estimated the vanishing points.

-I think that you did a good job experimenting with the orientation of the boxes, if you need more ideas to draw on your future practices take a look at this image and use it as reference.

-There are times when your lines converge in pairs or you attempt to keep your lines a bit too parallel which results in them diverging. This is an example of lines converging in pairs, and this shows the relation between each line in a set and their respective vanishing point. The inner pair of lines will be quite similar unless the box gets quite long and the outer pair can vary a lot depending on the location of the vanishing point. Move it further away and the lines become closer to parallel while moving it closer increases the rate of foreshortening.

So overall you did a great job throughout the challenge so you can move on to lesson 2.
