I really struggled with this one, and my lines need more work

I will do more before moving to the next exercise

I’d have advised you against grinding, but, after looking at this, I definitely feel like you’d benefit from doing another page.

The main problem I notice is that you’re getting so caught up in what you think a box should look like, that you’re ignoring the vanishing point. A good example is the 2nd box (from the left) on frame 3 of page 2. 2 of its lines head in the opposite direction! I’d recommend reading the instructions again, and, if they feel a little complicated, go at this exercise one step at a time, not reading the instructions for the next step until you’ve completed the previous one.

Also, don’t redo lines. If a line is incorrect, it’s incorrect. Unless you’re adding line-weight, which you shouldn’t, for this exercise, draw each line once.

Actually I watched the video 2 times and read the instructions more than once but boxes have been always confusing for me

I'll try to make the next ones look better

Thank you

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
