Hi Tesladharma , I will be reviewing your work !
Starting off with Lines
-
Good job maintaining the smoothness and continuity in your lines in both superimposed lines and ghosted lines section! The lines did tend to get a bit wavy , especially on the 2nd page of superimposed lines but that's normal. The strokes seemed to be confident though, so that's okay.
-
In ghosted lines, there is very minimal arching and you did pretty good! However there were some instances where both ends of the lines were not meeting the dots. Remember, although it's ok if the line does not meet the intended point, you should be careful to start your line from the initial point.
Next up are Ellipses! :
-
So here ,all throughout the exercise,I think you could have benifitted from reducing the amount of times you drew through the ellipses. From what I can makeout, you seemed to have drew through 3 or more times in majority of them, especially the rounder ones. Remember, while 3 is ok , 2 is ideal.
-
In the table of ellipses, I liked that your ellipses are majorly inside the designated areas and there is no/minimal overlap , so that's great! But again, there is the issue I mentioned above.
-
In the ghosted planes with ellipses exercise , here too the ellipses are touching all sides so, good job! However you seemed to have sacrificed smoothness for hitting all sides here. Remember smoothness and continuity are the primary target here!
-
Talking about the funnels exercise, I really liked you work here! The ellipses are smooth, and the minor axis also seems to bisect majority of them!
Finally, we have the Boxes!:
-
In rough perspective, forgive me if I'm wrong, but did you use a ruler in some of the lines, especially vertical ones? Because if you did , you shouldn't have! Remember throughout the lessons , you should be freehanding the lines, unless specifically stated, for eg.- plotted perspective. Also, you seemed to have draw through the lines where you made mistakes. Don't do that as it only draws attention to those areas.
-
Rotated boxes is ok, although it is pretty tiny. Don't worry about this though, overall it turned out fine.
-
I liked how creative your S curves were in organic perspective. But you seemed to be repeating your lines here as well, making it look like 'sketchy' lines. This is normal, but keep this mind for future lessons. Also, you have very limited overlap in your boxes, it seems you were avoiding that since even where you had opportunities to do so along your guiding curves, you didn't.Even where you did(page 1 panel 3) ,there is no overlapping layers .The contrast in sizes of the boxes is good though.
All in all, I think you did well and followed the instructions pretty well. I think you should do one page of organic perspective though, (with more overlap and less "sketchy" lines), just to make sure you got the concept right.
Next Steps:
1 page of organic perspective.
