250 Box Challenge
12:23 PM, Saturday May 16th 2020
Hi,
I've finally finished 250 boxes.
Any feedback is much appreciated!
Thanks.
This is pretty good overall! You've done a great job on these, so heres some tips you can use in your future warmups
-First off, your rotations are typically quite the same, while you are rotating them on one or two axis, i'd like you to experiment with doing boxes that just barely show the second and third visible planes, https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/678635364293935141/710409815968448542/35_degree_less.jpg similar to the boxes on the 2nd most outer circle of this (dont copy these, just think about trying to make boxes rotate in similar ways, in future warmups)
-another thing is your approach, while your convergences are quite consistent the key to having them be more consistent is that while you should be conscious of vanihsing points, you should be more focused on the angles of your lines and how they relate to eachother https://i.imgur.com/8PqQLE0.png (this is from discord, basic challenges 2nd most recent pin)
Next Steps:
Feel free to move onto L2! :)
Thank you very much,
I'll for sure try some of those boxes with barly visible planes.
Cheers,
Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.
Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
