Take as long as you need, no need to apologize.

That being said you didn't draw your vanishing points on the page for your first 10 boxes like was asked. This would have helped make the rest easier.

You're also only bringing 1 vanishing point in closer usually rather than all 3 like was also asked of you.

I'll be asking you to draw these 20 boxes again.

For the first 10 I'd like you to explicitly draw all 3 vanishing points on the page after you've drawn your starting Y shape, this will force you to work with closer vanishing points in mind. After you've completed the first 10 go back to the original method for the final 10 which should hopefully be an easier task after the first set.

If you have any questions before getting started feel free to ask them.

Next Steps:

20 more boxes please.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Unfortunately it seems that you are not understanding what is being asked, but you're not asking questions either to clarify any confusion you may have.

I am asking you to place actual vanishing points - the dots themselves - on the page for the first 10, so that you can see the specific point to which you are meant to converge your lines. If this is not clear, or doesn't make sense, please ask for clarification.

Again - for those first 10, draw the vanishing points on the page itself. This will force much more dramatic convergence for your edges, but it'll also help you get more used to the idea of keeping those convergences consistent.

Please ask for clarification if you still require it, otherwise try the 20 again. If however you are not able to follow those instructions, we may need to consider that there may be some communication or understanding issue that we are not able to address.

Next Steps:

Ask any questions you may have and then 20 more boxes please.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

I'm sorry, may I get clarification for this.

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
