Thanks Loopylizard and benj for reviewing my homework! It's time to mark it as 'complete' and this is why I need your help, dear reviewer!

Conclusion for Lesson 1:

Confidence is the key. Also, consistency and accuracy comes with time and not just plain grind.

I understood the importance of everyday warm-ups, they work wonders and help me concentrate/poke my muscle memory a bit.

Shoulder drawing is something I had to get used to. I think I've found most optimal pen grip and approach angle to have a decent amount of control.

Straight lines are hard, yo. But as long as they are confident, I am not too worried about accuracy.

Ellipses and circles are jerks, but I fixed it a bit after adding 'em in my daily warm-ups.

Boxes though. Boxes are both boring and braincracking in the same time. It was only the beginning. Got a glimpse of that, moved on to 250 boxes challenge. This is the foundation that put skills to the test.

My only hope is that I can stick with all the knowledge and expirience I got and actually use them. Breaking old bad habits not only will make me a better artist, but more disciplined and healthy person overall.

I am so excited to move on! There is so much to learn and improve on!

Thanks DAB and it's community for making it possible!

The Art of Blizzard Entertainment

While I have a massive library of non-instructional art books I've collected over the years, there's only a handful that are actually important to me. This is one of them - so much so that I jammed my copy into my overstuffed backpack when flying back from my parents' house just so I could have it at my apartment. My back's been sore for a week.

The reason I hold this book in such high esteem is because of how it puts the relatively new field of game art into perspective, showing how concept art really just started off as crude sketches intended to communicate ideas to storytellers, designers and 3D modelers. How all of this focus on beautiful illustrations is really secondary to the core of a concept artist's job. A real eye-opener.
