Hello HCaliri! Here's my two cents.

Lines

  • There's a significant bit of wobble in your ghosted lines. Make sure you're using your shoulder joint as much as possible, and prioritize smoothness over accuracy. It's okay if you miss the mark at this stage!

Ellipses

  • The ellipses in your funnels aren't of uniform degree. They should be the same shape, just different sizes.

  • Make sure your ellipses are as symmetrical as possible.

Boxes

  • Not too much to critique here, just a note that your organic perspective boxes seem quite distorted. You'll have lots of practice fixing that with the 250 boxes challenge though :)

Next Steps:

I suggest having another go at the Ghosted Lines and Funnels exercises (1 each).

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Hey, THANK YOU so much for this! I will take your advice and resubmit the exercises you suggested. I really appreciate your time.

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
