hello! sorry it took a while, i had school exams last week so i barely had time to draw, so here we go : Extra rotated boxes https://imgur.com/gallery/ONPqHY9

i took my time reading the exercise and watched the video

it's still ugly but this time i knew what i was doing(most of the time) i had a few problems building some boxes but i tried to finish all of them this time

i made some of the boxes too big and ended up creating more problems

i managed to learn a lot with this tho

thank you.

I am glad you finished it. It doesn't matter how long did it take as long as you keep doing it, so good job! Also, I am happy to see that this new page helped you understand the exercise better. I just realized one of the links I gave you in my review wasn't working. I am sorry. I am going to add it here one more time. Uncomfortable's explanation will help you figure out how to layout your boxes and how to use the neighboring lines to draw your new box's edges. You can try drawing horizontal boxes first and then the vertical boxes. Then you can use those existing boxes to figure out where will your new boxes going to be. Don't forget to keep an equal and small distance between every box. This way your drawings will appear more clean and accurate. Also, I suggest not to draw through your lines. If one line doesn't go the way you like it, don't try to fix it. It will only make your drawing messier. I like how you made a better rotation this time. It is a good improvement. You can start the 250 Box Challenge now. Just don't forget to include Lesson 1 homework in your warm-ups. Good Luck! :)

The Art of Blizzard Entertainment

While I have a massive library of non-instructional art books I've collected over the years, there's only a handful that are actually important to me. This is one of them - so much so that I jammed my copy into my overstuffed backpack when flying back from my parents' house just so I could have it at my apartment. My back's been sore for a week.

The reason I hold this book in such high esteem is because of how it puts the relatively new field of game art into perspective, showing how concept art really just started off as crude sketches intended to communicate ideas to storytellers, designers and 3D modelers. How all of this focus on beautiful illustrations is really secondary to the core of a concept artist's job. A real eye-opener.
