I think your lines are pretty good, as are your planes.

Thinks start to become unstuck with the ellipses in planes which aren't hitting the edge points well and look too loose.

Rotating boxes looks like it has been done a little small, this makes it harder to judge but it looks OK.

Organic boxes seem to lack some discipline and line confidence.

Next Steps:

Repeat ellipses in planes and concentrate on accuracy and confident lines.

Rotating boxes, IMo, ought to be repeated on a larger scale so that lines can be clearly seen.

Organic boxes should be repeated with more line discipline.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to critique the lesson!

Here's the update: https://imgur.com/a/1xMfqQk

I'm really struggling with the organic perspective exercise tbh.

I can only give basic impressions but don't forget this is meant to be challenging. You are not meant to be able to just do it.

I find for boxes to think in terms of the 3 sets of 4 parallel lines really helps focus and helps me get the perspective correct.

I am not associated with drawabox but I have paid for Patreon and I think doing it "officially" rather than casually helps focus the mind too. I am just about to submit my 250 box exercise for official critique.

That's fair enough, thank you anyways :)

Do you think I should be able to move to the 250 boxes challenge myself?

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
