It appears that you may have some pages missing from your submission. I can only find 19 pages of boxes here that go up to #118. Please submit your missing pages as a reply to this comment so that I can complete your critique. You can create a new imgur album for the missing pages if that is easier.

It's not trouble, happens more often than you think!

Since I didn't say it before, congratulations for completing the 250 Box Challenge! You've done a good job with the challenge overall. I can see when I compare your early boxes to your final sets that your mark making has steadily improved. You also do a better job of getting your sets of parallel lines to converge more consistently towards their shared vanishing points!

I can see that you made some good progress with adding extra line weight to your boxes though there is still a bit of room for improvement here. When you go to add weight to a line it is important that you treat the added weight the same way you would a brand new line. That means taking your time to plan and ghost through your mark so that when you go to execute it the mark blends seamlessly with your original mark. This will allow you to create more subtle and clean looking weight to your lines that reinforces the illusion of solidity in your boxes/forms. This is something that you will improve with consistent practice, so make sure that you include this step in your regular warm ups. You can also read more about this here.

You should also make sure that when you are working through Drawabox that you employ the ghosting method for every mark you make. This includes the hatching marks that we sometimes use on our boxes.

Finally while your convergences do improve overall I think this diagram will help you further develop that skill as you continue through Drawabox. So, when you are looking at your sets of lines you want to be focusing only on the lines that share a vanishing point. This does not include lines that share a corner or a plane, only lines that converge towards the same vanishing point. Now when you think of those lines, including those that have not been drawn, you can think about the angles from which they leave the vanishing point. Usually the middle lines have a small angle between them, and this angle will become negligible by the time they reach the box. This can serve as a useful hint.

Congrats again and good luck with lesson 2!

Thanks for the review!! It was tiring as hell to finish the challenge but its nice to hear there was a bit of improvement at least. I'll take note of both issues you mention, thanks for the references!

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
