Here are three new plant pages. https://imgur.com/a/aiiQerZ
I should note that on the apple page, my pen began dying. On some of the leaf lines, ink didn't start flowing until halfway through, which you can see on the top left and in one of the leaves on the middle. I switched to a totally new pen (and different brand) for the new aloe vera page.
I would also like to reiterate that I do not use compound strokes on leaves. Like I mentioned in the other comment, it's sloppy line reinforcement that I am currently working on improving.

The scratchiness you pointed out on the petals in the daffodil image was a poor attempt to add line weight, not the result of a compound stroke. I am ghosting when I add line weight and being as confident as I can, but I think I just need more practice perfectly matching the prior stroke.

Here are six fresh plant pages. https://imgur.com/a/nFpyEMY
EDIT: I should note that up until this point I've been using 0.6 mm pens, because that was all they had at the art store when I went to stock up. For these six pages I got to switch to a 0.5 pen.

Thank you for your feedback. Before I get started on my remedial work, I have a quick question on line weight.
The last plant I drew, the Gaillardia Grandiflora, has these weird petals that split into three fingers at the end. I decided to draw a single construction leaf, then add two more flow lines and construct three sub-leafs, then merge them together and added line weight to the silhouette of the actual petal I wanted to build. Is that an acceptable time to apply line weight to entire lines?

Hey, boss. I upgraded my tier this month to qualify for new critiques. Here's my Lesson 3 submission:
My line weight and tapering need a lot of work and there were times I didn't focus enough on the individual form I was drawing and got distracted by the complexities of the whole image, which caused some mistakes.
Before each drawing I did a study page where I analyzed the reference and tried to figure out how best to represent what was in there. That isn't actually part of the lesson, but I included the first study page I did anyway so you could see a little of my thought process.
Looking forward to your feedback. As always, thank you for your time.

Thanks, I'll keep working on tapering my lineweight.
I do have a quick question about lesson 3 before I start - I shared a willow tree with the lesson 3 chat last week but someone said that you said we should avoid trees and super complex plants for now. Is that true?

Thank you for your patience with me. I hope this one is a little better.

Alright, here's my bonus round completed over the course of three days. https://imgur.com/a/JzIuhjw
I'm having major trouble getting the organic forms to come out right, especially when attempting to bend them. They usually end up pinched or tapered. In your videos you seem to draw them with one smooth stroke, which is the technique I've been trying to use, but could I try breaking it down into smaller steps? (draw the "ends", then connect them with the tube) Or should I just keep practicing these as warmup exercises until they get better?

Before I start my remedial work, I wanted to clarify the timing:
I finished the box challenge on June 17th, eight days before I was able to submit due to the cooldown from lesson 1.
I finished Lesson 2 on June 29th, as you noted, so it actually took me twelve days. Most of those days, I was doing DaB related stuff for two hours and unrelated fun drawing/digital painting for one hour. However, I would have benefited from slowing down and putting more time into thinking about each form and line before putting it down.
I finished Lesson 3 two days ago, but I may redo that attempt in the next two weeks before submitting it. Attempting it taught me a lot about organic forms and confidence.
I will start working on that makeup work now and keep what you said in mind. Thank you.
Also, did you have any specific thoughts on my dissections, or does the texture section of your critique pretty much cover it?

Here is my lesson 2 submission. https://imgur.com/a/tq7B3Lc
I realize that there are some elongated forms in my form intersections and that my organic forms are not all symmetrical - that is, two spheres connected by a tube of consistent width. Neither of those things was intentional. Learning to work with shadows in textures is also very difficult and I made many mistakes. I also hope you don't mind that I made little notes to myself on some of these exercises.
I look forward to your feedback. Thank you in advance for your time.

Gotcha, that makes sense. Thank you!

Question: for the form intersections in lesson 2, are we allowed to attempt to draw the intersections in a different color or should we stick to black?
Clarification: Like in this picture from the exercise page. https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/56a974f4.jpg

Yes, I was referring to the method in the video with the extra points. I placed one point extending one line, then found where the perpendicular line intersected and placed the final point. For the last set, I tried using only one point instead of two, estimating both lines at once. You can see extra floaty points in most of the first 200 boxes. Sorry I was unclear!
I dedicated every third page (the ones with "FS" in the corner) to foreshortening, usually extreme, so I will focus on shallower foreshortening in the bonus round.

Here's my submission for the box challenge!
As you will see, my lines still need a lot of work. Occasionally, they veered off course and completely missed the end point I was going for. In those situations, I extended the line I intended to draw given the guide point I put down rather than what actually wound up on the page. I felt that was more useful for testing my spatial awareness. I hope that was okay.
Also, for the last forty or so boxes, I went from using two guide points per line to one, which caused a bit of a dip in quality.
Anyway, looking forward to the feedback!

Thank you for your feedback. I did read the instructions carefully and watch the videos - it's just the execution that needs a LOT of work. I didn't grind the exercises at all before submitting, but I'll be attempting rotated boxes again on my own.
See you again soon for my 250 boxes submission.

I'm completely new to drawing and I am prepared to redo some or all of the lesson if needed. I'm ready to do the hard work. Thank you for taking the time to critique this.
I have a question: Do you rotate your canvas when working with digital art in the same way we rotate our pages to draw the one good line?

If you think it's a good idea, I would like to move on to the 250 cylinder challenge next.
Organic forms and intersections were weak spots from lesson 2 and I would like to spend some time practicing basic forms, line weight, and organics in my warmups during that challenge before tackling bugs.
