Thank you for the detailed feedback!

Defenetly feel like i have learned a lot on drawabox. Its a fantastic website!

Whilst I am pretty confident with boxes by now, wheels and ellipses are still a little bit of a struggle and i will keep working on them. Wheel challenge coming up!

With the AT-AT, i was so unhappy with how the legs turned out. I could have thought of constructing a ground plane myself! Thanks for suggesting that!!! Now I know how it works.

thanks a lot for the critique. will try to use the foreshortening of my objects more purposefully from now on. have a feeling this might come handy in the next lesson.

some i am quite proud of, but struggling recently to keep up the patience and concentration. anyhow, bit afraid of the next lesson, everything with ellipses is sooo hard!

hello, couldn't post on the texture challenge, so posting it here. hope that's alright.

25 done now, planning to do many more, but maybe it's a good time for some feedback to avoid some bad habits with the following.

thanks a lot in advance!

thank you so much for the nice and helpful feedback!

yes, definitely felt like learning something from this challenge that goes beyond drawing chests. thanks again and looking forward to that badge:)

this took me quite some week ends!

100 chests and still making mistakes. often when i draw an open chest, can't get the lit right, don't know for sure with which VP I shall construct it, and it somehow looks twisted.

anyhow here we go:

hello, had great fun doing this lesson. not so happy with all the results tho, specially when things get complicated it gets a little flat looking.

hello, tried the challenge. my ellipses are still quite shaky and trying to practice that a lot. maybe you see sth else to pay attention to.

thx

When the degree of the minor axis of a cylinder is always higher does that also mean the far plane of a box is always more squarish than the near plane?

kangoroopaw in the post "Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes"

2017-07-25 10:19

Wow, it was really quite eye opening to draw out the lines with a colored pen and ruler in the rough perspective boxes with one vp!! More like 100 vp. Will def pay more attention to that.
