I think it's totally reasonable that the closer face has a different orientation relative to the viewer compared to the farthest face (assuming either of these faces isn't looking directly towards the viewer), and that the difference in orientation is proportional to the distance between these faces.
What I can't understand, however, is why the farthest face will be oriented more towards the viewer than the closer face. Why does this happen?
Thanks in advanced!

The reasoning is essentially the same as why when dealing with cylinders, the farther ellipse has a wider degree than the end closer to the viewer. This is demonstrated in the video for Lesson 1's ellipses section, using little props to try and make the concept a little easier to understand.

Oh.
I thought that I needed to prove that the farthest face was oriented more towards the viewer first, since it would imply that, if we encoded a ellipse in both of the faces, the ellipse in the farthest face would be proportionally larger, compared to the closer ellipse. I totally forgot about the concept of degree shift lol (and to be honest, it makes it a lot more intuitive to understand).
Anyways, tysm!
