Uncompleted in the post "Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes"

Yeah, I was actually aware of that during the organic perspective part but kind of struggled with keeping a reasonable foreshortening. Something I'll give even more attention in the future. Thanks!

Hey, as promised here's my digital(?) lesson 1.

I want to mention that I only uploaded my latest pages to not flood the album, worked on a much bigger canvas (5760x3600) and also left out the plotted perspective exercise as it is not only a pain in digital but also teaches more about the principles, right? Anyway take our time and have a great day.

Thanks, I'm gonna revisit some of the earlier lessons and probably get the 250 cylinder badge in the meantime.

Anyway I wish you a lovely Christmas, your efforts are definitely appreciated!

Alright. Here we go. Let's do this. ^Time ^to ^work. ^^The ^^clocks ^^are ^^running. ^^^Theres ^^^stuff ^^^to ^^^do ^^^^aand ^^^^work ^^^^to ^^^^be ^^^^done. ^^^^^Really ^^^^^need ^^^^^to ^^^^^start ^^^^^now. ^^^^^^hmmm...

Damn you procrastination! Can't stop me!

It's been over a month... none of your lessons took me that long, although it's not procrastinations fault.

Anyway thank you for providing these great lessons and offering critiques!

Great Video! I've learned so much in terms of admitting your mistakes and guessing instead of knowing. It also made drawing vehicles so much more enjoyable! I used an imaginary vanishing point before and would measure my lines with two rulers - which is a terrible idea. Your help is definitely appreciated.

Whoops, just saw you answered.

Thanks for your tips, they definitely help out while dealing with Lesson 7.

Here is my Lens but it doesn't seam to be too bad with the alignment. Maybe I just constructed the Box incorrect around the cylinder?

I actually already watched all of your videos but I guess it just comes down to practice :P Well I'm going to give lesson 7 a shot

Hi Uncomfortable,

Here's what I got for you.

I have a problem with ellipses. Whenever I draw one, I have to correct myself almost immediately and it goes on until it's a huge mess. However I tried to force myself to draw only 3 rounds but that often results in bad alignment. Any tips regarding that?

Anyway thank you for keeping this up and have a great day.

Thank you for review and sorry for all that extra clutter.

Goodness... my desk looks like someone spilled a mug of ink all over the place! And I know I'm supposed to draw on the paper.

Well, here is my attempt.

This one was really fun! Espacially the hybrid one. I still need a calling name tho.. :P

Important Note:

I've been running out of sheets in my sketchbook, so I decided I'll use the toned one instead and as I'd just gotten my first Copic Ciaos, I tried them out. Of course I still need to learn how to use them but I had some fun experimenting with values. Also added some crayon, because why not? (You tell me if there is any problem with it!). But I always made sure that was the last thing I did:

edit: I just saw that my flair doesn't show the 250 Boxes Challenge I reached in with my first lesson.

Hi, here is my attempt.

First of all you won't see any spiders. I hate them! Having eight legs and eyes can't be normal. Also it took me 2 days to draw something that wasn't so sketchy 'n' stuff and although I only counted the bugs that weren't crap, I decided to upload the others anyway.

Again, thank you so much for your critiques, take your time and have a great day :)

Thanks for your quick response. I'm currently working on the 25 texture challenge and considering that (in my opinion) spiders and insects are the worst, the challenge will be a relief.

Thanks for reviewing and have a great day.

Alright, so I'm going to continue my journey and keep on looking behind me. Just one thing, there is no need for the texture challenge, I understood that right?

Thanks in advance.

Here is my attempt.

Right now I am doing your exercises until I feel confident doing them and even though I'm still not completely happy, after 21 sheets I thought it was time to upload. But still, while I really enjoyed the 'Form Intersections', those textures were really frustrating to me, because it just never seemed to look right. I might do the '25 texture challenge'?

So I got a few Questions regarding the upload and me handling my exercises:

And again, thank you for doing this :)
