Hey,
Here is my 250 cylinder submission.
This was much more difficult than I was expecting, especially using the box construction as my brain kept getting confused between the 'X' across the planes and the minor axis.
Thanks.

Hello!
Here is my lesson 4 submission.
The first 8 pages were done a little while ago, with the remaining 6 (from the Rhino Beetle onwards) were done much more recently. (In-between I went through the ctrl-paint unplugged tutorials)
I also tried to push myself to experiment with texture & detail a bit more with the recent pages.
Thanks!

Hello, it's been a little while!
Unfortunately I succumbed to the common problem of self-doubt and motivation for the past few months.
I recently came across an artist that produces some fantastic stuff, whom originally started with draw a box, and that's inspired me to pick it back up, and hopefully work through my own failings.
I did recently re-go through lessons 1 and 2 pretty much in their entirety before tackling lesson 3, so hopefully I haven't fallen too far behind.
Here is my lesson 3 submission: http://imgur.com/a/ZXXMn completed this month. I have also included some pages of leaves and stems I did a few months ago.
Thanks!

Thank you for the feedback!
line weight is something you should be adding after a box has been constructed
Ah, yes I misunderstood this. Thanks for clarifying.
I think I will use the next week or so to practice lesson 1 exercises again and hopefully build up a little more mechanical consistency, before attempting to tackle lesson 2.

The draw-through lines were really hard to judge at first, as well as knowing how to correct them. I think I very slowly got the hang of it throughout though.
I started experimenting with line weight from about box 50. It took a while to get used to drawing with various levels of friction on the paper.
I got a bit sloppy in the upper 100s, although it improved again for the last 50.
I can really see how the warm-ups are going to help in the future. Every time I had a few days break, it took a little time to re-build confidence drawing the lines.
Thanks!

After quite a few weeks I have finally finished lesson 1. Yay!
I have pretty much zero drawing experience before starting this course, and wow some of this already is quite tough!
The fineliner I used for part 1 was really cheap and nasty. I got some much better ones for parts 2 onwards.
I went through the exercises for each part before doing the homework pages. here it is in case it's useful:
And here's my homework pages:
Thanks!

Thanks for the criticism. I'm quite looking forward to giving the treasure chests a go!
