Ah yes thank you.

You've told me the thing about sketchy lines in one of the other lessons, guess I haven't improved on that, I'll try harder.

As for the cross hatching I think that's due to me trying to rush it because It's often a large area to cover so I'll try slowing down, drawing with more patience and as you say paying attention to the contours of the forms.

The more complete birds and raccoons I did in a seperate sketchbook that I'll use as a summary of my progress in drawing I hope to share that with you one day.

So one month later I got this done.

I found proportions for longer animals harder since the main masses were further away, got any tips on that? birds were pretty simple since they're basically two balls together...

So thanks in advance and happy holidays.

here we go lesson 4 done I'm still having trouble with the sketchiness of my lines I've done the ghosting though it often works I still have to go over them often and they end up sketchy. I've also tried stipling but beacause the drawings are small its kind of hard to do other textures without ending up with a black mess. ps. sorry for the lower quality camera

Wow thanks no I didnt take classes I swear just practiced a bit here and there. I get the sketchiness thing I'll work on that and go over the other lessons. I always end up with plain cross hatching since its pretty much all I knew to do with pen but seeing how you use patterns in that demo makes a lot more sense.

Well after 10 months I've finally come back to this.

Here is my homework

I had a hard time finding the motivation and time to do this but I pushed through in the past week since I was doing it off and on for a while I did more than required but only uploaded the necessary ones. Thanks again for doing this I really appreciate it and I've noticed quite the improvement in my general drawings.

I think I may have worded that wrong I meant I did the first two pages in pencil and the rest are all ink regardless I did another page and the hatching tip worked really well, thanks.

Well I was finally able to finish this lesson after doing it off and on for three weeks I ended up doing more than required until i felt comfortable with each. I also wasnt quite getting the dissections until i started doing them from real objects. The intersection were a real pain i had do them in pencil first and seperate before I did them in ink.
