Wanted to do the 250 Cylinder Challenge before moving on to Organic Forms and Contour Lines because I was having a hard time visualizing the ellipses wrapping around the forms.
I feel like I learned a lot more about visualizing the ellipses lining up with the vanishing point, but I need a lot of work controlling my ellipses.
I keep over thinking it after my ellipse begins. I did notice that my ellipses were smoother when I didn't overthink it, but unfortunately overthinking is like my superpower so it's hard to turn off. lol

You are absolutely right! I tend to focus on the mistakes for too long. Thanks for the reminder to drop them and move on to the next box.
I will also go over the boxes using the recommended correction technique. Thanks again!

Hi! I finally finished the 250 box challenge.
I struggled a lot with hitting my mark and ended up over and under shooting more than I would have liked. Any advice on how I can improve? It's hard to know when to stop when my darn hand is in the way. I usually ghost about 3 to 5 times before I draw a line. Do I need do increase that number?
However I did feel more comfortable going over my mistakes and "fixing" my boxes with the red pen after my first 100 or so boxes. Really got a lot out of that and feel like I understand boxes more now.

Thanks so much! I will definitely complete the rough perspective boxes and get to work on the 250 box challenge. Is it crazy that I'm looking forward to drawing all those boxes? lol

Hi Uncomfortable!
I actually had a lot of fun with these exercises (rotated boxes excluded). Thanks for the great lessons! Here's my homework.
The one thing I had the biggest problem with was drawing from the shoulder. Keeping my wrist locked is no problem, but drawing from the elbow feels so natural I always fall back on it. When I do try to draw from the shoulder, I end up over thinking each line and it gets shaky. Plus I notice my neck gets really tired when I draw from the shoulder. Any tips?

Thanks! I will stop rushing through the planning stages, but only because you called me on it. lol
