Thank you so much for taking the time ! I will try to carry the points you mentioned over to lesson 4.
Out of my entire submission I liked the jonquils the most , and those where the ones I practiced most as well. I guess getting these things down just takes some time

Hi uncomfortable,
after quite some time I consider my Lesson 3 work to be at a good point to turn in and get critiqued. Compared to Lesson 2 , this Lesson was very challenging for me . All Images I share with you are the result of countless other pages tossed in the bin.
Now , I DEFINETLY intend to draw some plants along the other lessons in the future since i can see other students doing quite a lot better than I do . ( assuming I even pass this Lesson for now lol)
I tried to use texture less in a way to capture how the plant looks and more as a tool to enhance my 3d effect , although I realize that i couldve spend a lot more time drawing actual texture instead of scribbly blackness... However i began working on the 25 Texture challenge parallel to this lesson , so im working on it .
After drawing all these plants i find myself a lot more confident in my construction , however im still hesitant to start new drawing afraid that they'll look worse than the previous one .
Hope this is satisfactory work. Looking forward to feedback , thanks a lot ofr doing this once again.
aaand i forgot the link... here it is https://imgur.com/a/aieH3

Holy Guacamoly
this lesson was pretty challenging but a lot of fun.
here are some notes:
-
I spent most of my time on the dissections and the form intersections. Those were the most challenging for me but also the most engaging. I really had to consciously stop myself from using a Pencil because i felt so inclined to do so , I managed to refrain for 99% .
-
I feel like I could do those Ribbons and organic forms 10x better after completing the lesson , but i thought redoing them just to show them off here would kind of defeat the purpose of the lesson. So i put those together which i did before the other exercices. I see that the contour lines are too flat on those since i ddint keep the ellipse in mind .
-
With the Intersections I was using a white gel pen to make the lines that shouldnt be visible less visible . However I later realized that you told someone else to refrain from doing that , so i stopped about halfway through. Furthermore I took a picture of my first attempt and cleaned it up digitally just for fun

Nothing more comes to mind. Thanks in advance for your critique :D These lessons are becoming really fun

Thank you very much! Yes
I thought correcting a box that was way off by ghosting a new better box over it was a fun way to acknowledge and work with my mistake.
Will now indulge in lesson 2, becoming a patreon is really paying off.
one quick or probably longer question :
Would you say thats its a viable path to become a concept artist or illustrator without going to a physical art school?
Would you also recommend going the online way through means like CGMA , New Masters academy , ctrl Paint and obviously your website?
My desire to become a concept artist is burning like a wildfire and I very much believe that i have the discipline and will to practice on my own. However your opinion on this matter would still interest me.
cheers

I took my time for these boxes and got a lot faster and more efficient towards the end . It still took me a very long time , however it was a good experience .
Thank you for providing me with the challenge dearest Uncomfortable

Hey uncomfortable, thanks to our earlier conversation on discord I decided it was time to turn in my lesson 4 work .
Submission: https://imgur.com/gallery/OZe8L
Lay-ins which i forgot : https://imgur.com/a/VylFr
The demos were a whole lot of fun and strangely enough I often felt that my first attempt at the demo would turn out best.
When choosing my own anthropoids do draw , I often struggled finding good reference or choosing good postures for them .
The anthropoids I drew were the coconut crab , the bold head hornet and the praying mantis .
Usually I did around 2-3 drawings a day , but the last two days i struggled to draw these insects , maybe I need a short break from those.
Anyway I hope you enjoy my submission , quite some work went into this .
Thanks once again for doing all of this , this community has been fantastic and you brought it to life.
