fleur_inoue in the post "Lesson 2: Organic Forms, Contour Lines, Dissections and Form Intersections"

I started procrastinating halfway through (a month ago) because I was getting demoralised over the chasm between my idealised version of the drawings and the actual drawings. That was until I saw the dragon comic you posted on Facebook last week, which finally got me to pick up the pen and try again. I still think the result is not up to my expectations, but I figured that if I keep letting my perfectionist tendencies get the best of me, whatever practice I've done will never see the light of the day. Here is my lesson.

I completed this in 2 weeks after Lesson 1. The lines are still pretty wobbly, though I've reminded myself time and again to let the hand take over. I did gain some insight to the types of perspectives boxes can be drawn, which I suppose is the main takeaway of the lesson.

Btw, when is the 250 cylinders challenge best completed? Before/after which lessons?

I started working on Lesson 1 in the beginning of January, and I've had no prior drawing experience. It's far from perfect, and I think there's lots of room for improvement with the ellipses and organic boxes (will embark on the 250 box/cylinder challenge).

Here is my submission.
