I just finished the lesson zero reading and a thought came to mind as I was reading. Some days I may not have the time or mental fortitude to go straight from lesson to drawing for myself, or some days I may not have the energy to draw at all.

Is it okay if the days are split? Such as one day Ill take studying and reading and drawing the lessons then the next day or two days down the road do my for myself drawing?

Yup, that's perfectly fine. No harm in having a day for studies and a day for play - as long as you maintain a balance.

This course is very much built to complete at whatever pace works for you. There's no requirement to do the lessons and your own drawing on the same day. As long as you're avoiding a very long hiatus, you'll be fine.

50/50 is just total time.

You could do the lessons for 2 hours on 3 separate days - and then do 6 hours of fun drawing on a Saturday. Or an hour on Monday, Thursday, and then 4 hours on Sunday. It doesnt matter at all.

You dont have to stress about being exactly 50/50 either. The rule is just telling you to balance it out. Some people might do 30/70 lessons:fun drawing. Some might be 60/40 instead.

The whole point is to reduce how regimented the course can feel. You dont have to think I did 4 hours of lessons this week - I really need to do 4 hours of drawing ASAP!

Its more like Ive spent quite some time doing lessons now - maybe I should spend some time drawing for fun too.

Or vice versa Ive been having fun drawing all week - I should really get back to doing some lessons.

Personally, I think that its better to play it by ear / mix it up on the fly. If making a timetable and sticking to a routine works for you - then do so! But I much prefer to just improvise as I go along.
