What do you think about studying another fundamentals at same time as DrawaBox?

I mean, for the past two months I've been studying that classical perspective content while I was doing the 250 boxes (I took that book 'Perspective Made Easy'). But now I'm tired of it and I want to study something different, like portraits and facial anatomy or lightning.

But I dont know if it will mess with my understanding of the Drawabox content; if it should be better finish DaB before studying anything else. What do you think?

I actually encourage it - as long as you're able to devote the appropriate time to each course you work through, ensuring that you're following each given course's instructions (rather than mixing-and matching, applying one course's approaches to another), and while applying the 50% rule. I think that learning a variety of things together will result in each one progressing more slowly individually, but will in the long run save you time (as they'll reinforce one another, helping you progress more quickly overall than if you did them in series), and will generally help you develop into a more well rounded artist.

But again - don't forget your 50% rule.

Oh, thanks! You gave me confidence to keep with this approach. I was worried if the slower pace would be a problem or something.

I didn't forgot the 50% rule, but as I was doing one page of boxes per day, I got some free time in the study half. But thanks for reassuring, your work is awesome.

Is there a good fundamentals course for sketching buildings?

Youll get bored if you focus exclusively on one aspect of art training. Skills complement and reinforce each other.

I highly recommend Loomis drawing the head and hands if you're into portraits. Color and light is an amazing book as well by James gurney. Nothing will take away from taking a break from drawabox it's cool to take a break as long as you stay consistent.
