Am I allowed to use both and still get everything out of my lessons? I dont plant my elbow on the table or anything. I naturally use my elbow while my shoulder is rotating.

I find that when I allow myself to do this my lines are a lot straighter.

Im not sure if this is correct or if I need to change my approach.

I believe I explain this in the video on drawing from your shoulder, but your elbow is going to move slightly to compensate for the motion and keep the pen where it needs to be. The motion needs to be primarily driven from the shoulder, but some movement from your elbow is normal.

Oh okay, I apologize. I havent watched that video in a week or so since I took a break from drawing. Thank you for reminding me!

I actually did a little test just now and youre completely right. It moves regardless, but in one instance its far less wavy. Thank you again!!
