Thanks I really appreciate this article. I have been wondering whether proko was worth investing in and this sold it for me.

Personally, my recommendation is that Proko's anatomy course is worth it. The rest of his courses are a bit of a mixed bag. For his basic figure drawing course, most of the good stuff is already available on his YT channel. There are also other courses out there that offer perhaps a better value and teach certain concepts better.

My go-to recommendation for someone wanting to learn figure drawing is to start with DaB through at least lesson 5, then Brent Eviston on Udemy/Skillshare for the basics of gesture and figure construction, then Proko's Anatomy course for a more detailed anatomy study. After that (or during), find a decent life drawing meetup in your area and go as often as possible.

Yeah, Im in college so I am a little short on money, but I plan on dedicating time to drawing every day for an hour at least, and buying these courses as my job allows me to do so.
