Having trouble coming up with something to draw? No worries - while you'll eventually learn how to start from a tiny seed of a thought and gradually nurture it into a complex concept to explore through design and illustration, it's perfectly fine not to be there just yet.
For now though, here's an idea that might interest you.
Recycling has had a bit of a rocky start - after all, the whole lead to gold thing was a bit of a bust in the middle ages - but society has finally gotten its affairs in order, and has figured out how to convert waste into valuable goods, through the magic of modern machinery!
Design such a recycling contraption, one designed to convert a specific kind of trash into a particular valuable good. You can focus on how it'll look superficially, and even how it might integrate into a room, or you can explore the methodology by which it achieves the conversion.
Or, if you're feeling really adventurous, show us the havoc that ensues when someone dares to input the wrong kind of trash!
