Here is my complete Lesson 2! I had lots of trouble doing the texture exercises and was stuck there for a while, but I'm glad I eventually finished them. Would really appreciate any critiques (:

Arrows:-

arrows are well done

Sausages with ellipse and contour:-

you drew them equally but you drew to many ellipse the purpose of this exercise is to only make u understand 3D so make only 3 ellipse thats it for that same with the contouring.

Texture:-

texture well done you drew cast shadows which is what we want.

Texture on sausages:-

here the problem is in the first page where u should have drawn only cast shadows denser at the edges but fainter when you go towards the middle but you corrected that in after dawings so thats fine.

2nd texture top left of the sheet looks flat the crevices shadows are not made around the sausage contour

and u forgot that the center will be seen as well. since it is a sliced cucumber like shape.

the rest is done well, intersection exercise was hard to begin with so, i will just say if u have a bit of problem check this link:-

my final note:- make sure to practice sausages before doing any drawing since its very important in the coming chapters. and goodluck.

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz is a book after mine own heart, and exists very much in the same spirit of the concepts that inspired Drawabox. It's all about getting your ideas down on the page, doing so quickly and clearly, so as to communicate them to others. These skills are not only critical in design, but also in the myriad of technical and STEM fields that can really benefit from having someone who can facilitate getting one person's idea across to another.

Where Drawabox focuses on developing underlying spatial thinking skills to help facilitate that kind of communication, Rapid Viz's quick and dirty approach can help students loosen up and really move past the irrelevant matters of being "perfect" or "correct", and focus instead on getting your ideas from your brain, onto the page, and into someone else's brain as efficiently as possible.
