Hi,

Finally finished the famous 250 box challenge, i had a brief pause in between more or less 2 months, but last couple of weeks i had a steady routine to finish 1 or 2 pages every other day.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Congrats on completing the 250 box challenge! It is indeed a challenge =]

I just want to say that i'm by no means an expert on any of this and I only just finished my 250 box challenge as well. So please take what i have with a grain of salt. =]

That being said, I want so say that I think your boxes look very very good. You do a great job of having your boxes in varying perspectives, sizes, shapes, and rotations. You also have examples of very drastic and not so drastic foreshortening. I can also see that you have worked to create a subtle silhouette with slightly darker line weight around the boxes which helps clarify the box and the direction, etc...Also, your cross hatching, although it sometimes falls short of reaching the other line, you always place your pen down on one end of the box and draw a line diagonally all the way to the other side. Based on the critics I got on mine, all the points they brought out, i feel you did a great job on. I don't see anywhere that you could really improve and so I'm going to mark you complete on this one. Great job!!

Hi GINNYBLU82,

Thanks a lot for the feedback, much appreciated.

I must say after drawing 250 boxes i have a better grasp at drawing boxes but it also feels that there is still a long way to go :)

Thanks again for the feedback and good luck as well on your journey!

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
