Thank you for looking over my work! Feedback is appreciated.
hey i just looked thru your submissions and this is what i have to say
i must admit you did really good in the organic forms like i love the way you've portrayed solidity in each form and there is a lot of improvement as u did the 2nd page so well done!!
then the textures u chose are also very unique and u understand shadow well so good on that as well
i would say that u could do a little more understandin on how they wrap around the form and play a little with the silhouette of the textures
lastly the arrows you could play a little with the arrow head being the nearest to the viewer so it is much darker and dont be afraid to make the closest part bigger
all in all u did awesome work and u should be proud of yourself cuz i sure am!!!
Next Steps:
u did great and the best thing is you that u finished what was asked of you and u did your best i can see that!!!
onward you go to the next lesson!!! good luck and stay safe!!
Thank you! I'll work on the wrapping and the arrows!
This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.
I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.
No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
