Okay this is my best shot at it, I'm in quarantine in italy and can't buy a micropen, so these exercises have been done with a fountain pen extra fine (a vanishing point)

The superimposed lines are bad, my pen has like made little ditches and passing over them would make me steer away and folor the crappy errors.

The rotated box is the best of 4, and it has a lot to improve.

Some lines are super straight and some wobbily, i force myself to draw from the shoulder.

Thank you!

Your ellipses are very well done. In the organic perspective boxes, I see a tremendous amount of improvement from your first section compared to the last section you did. Great job!

Regarding your straight lines, one thing I noticed is that your lines sometimes go beyond the point they're supposed to. My piece of advise on that is to spend a little more time ghosting to get a better idea of when to stop moving your pen.

Other than that, it looks really awesome! The rotated boxes are very difficult to do and it isn't meant to be something you knock out of the park on the first try. I belive Uncomfortable said he meant for this to be very difficult and the reason for it is so you understand where you fail and accepting it. You will get better as you go on so don't worry about doing it multiple times to "get it right", just do the amount of work he requires unless requested from comments.

Keep at it! :)

Next Steps:

I don't think you need to do any revisions because I see what you are aiming for. I would suggest just ghosting a couple or so more times than you typically do to get a better accuracy on drawing your lines.

Onto the 250 Boxes Challenge!

Your ghosted lines feel smooth and confident, but your imposed lines do feel wobbly. Try not to force yourself to draw from your shoulder, as it should be more of a relaxed and comfortable position so that it can be easier for you to draw. The planes look great and your ellipses look great as well as they touch the borders without falling short or overshooting.

Thank you, do you suggest i should repeat a specifix exercise?

Thanks

I don't think you should repeat the exercise because you don't want to grind and overwork yourself. I think you did great, and now you should probably head for the 250 box challenge because a lot of people say it takes a while and Uncomfortable says that people improve a lot after tackling that challenge.

The recommendation below is an advertisement. Most of the links here are part of Amazon's affiliate program (unless otherwise stated), which helps support this website. It's also more than that - it's a hand-picked recommendation of something I've used myself. If you're interested, here is a full list.

Let's be real here for a second: fineliners can get pricey. It varies from brand to brand, store to store, and country to country, but good fineliners like the Staedtler Pigment Liner (my personal brand favourite) can cost an arm and a leg. I remember finding them being sold individually at a Michael's for $4-$5 each. That's highway robbery right there.

Now, we're not a big company ourselves or anything, but we have been in a position to periodically import large batches of pens that we've sourced ourselves - using the wholesale route to keep costs down, and then to split the savings between getting pens to you for cheaper, and setting some aside to one day produce our own.

These pens are each hand-tested (on a little card we include in the package) to avoid sending out any duds (another problem with pens sold in stores). We also checked out a handful of different options before settling on this supplier - mainly looking for pens that were as close to the Staedtler Pigment Liner. If I'm being honest, I think these might even perform a little better, at least for our use case in this course.

We've also tested their longevity. We've found that if we're reasonably gentle with them, we can get through all of Lesson 1, and halfway through the box challenge. We actually had ScyllaStew test them while recording realtime videos of her working through the lesson work, which you can check out here, along with a variety of reviews of other brands.

Now, I will say this - we're only really in a position to make this an attractive offer for those in the continental United States (where we can offer shipping for free). We do ship internationally, but between the shipping prices and shipping times, it's probably not the best offer you can find - though this may depend. We also straight up can't ship to the UK, thanks to some fairly new restrictions they've put into place relating to their Brexit transition. I know that's a bummer - I'm Canadian myself - but hopefully one day we can expand things more meaningfully to the rest of the world.
