Prob stupid question, but do planes follow perspective rules? [Lesson 2 - Form Intersections]

So in lesson 1 we practiced our mark confidence doing 4 random dots that when connected using the ghosting method, would create a plane.
We never really thought about the perspective of the planes in this lesson.
So, when i watched Uncomfortable's video about the form intersections exercise, i was kinda curious in the part where he creates a pyramid, because he told us to start by creating a plane, and that's where my question begins.
Do planes follow the same rules for perspective? we need to figure out the vanishing points of the plane like we would with a box?
So if the answer to this is yes, i guess that also means we need to keep the foreshortening shallow.
I know its kinda silly to ask knowing that we are creating a pyramid, and of course, that pyramid is 3D meaning that i needs to follow perspective rules, but I'd rather be sure of what I'm doing than be sorry later.
