It's been about a week or so, isn't it? Well, this time around I'm so proud of my artwork that I have no words to describe how happy I am. Progress is going really fast. I messed upa bit, arms are a little bit off. I think they are not on the same level as they should be. I realized it when I've already finished drawing, same as i forgot to draw a fur on the body. That line that is clean and nice shoud be a fur... but im happy with the result anyway. It'sa miracle but everythingi draw looks so good to me. Drawing TULLY IS ABOUT THINKING. Also I bought new materials: white chalk pencil, white gel pen and a bigger liner. I plan on buying a brush pen and try it out later. I think it will give me plenty of room to play around. I finished 35 pages of ellipses as well. I was experimenting with this challenge a little. I pointed out that I can't draw a circle properly, so I did 10 pages of them. Now I draw 10 pages of big ellipses since I screw them up a lot and next 10 pages will be for big circles. I think it should help me to develop a good sense of any possible size. Even this drawing is actually just a bunch of ellipses. Like really, body is a circle, hands are ellipses, head is a circle that has an ellipse attached to it. Basically that's it. Lately I'm getting pretty good at drawing ellipses. About perspective... Maaan, I didn't do anything to learn it. I spent time drawing stuff, sharpening my ellipses and doing second week assignments from Charls Hu course(I almost finished it btw, there is like one step left). That's it, im gonna learn it on this week then and draw a killer drawing once I got it all figured out.

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
