Hi! I started this homework during the quarantine so and I wasn't able to get a fine-liner right away, so for some exercises in between I used a gel pen. This was really fun though, can't wait for the next exercises!

For the Superimposed lines. There is wobbling in the first page but it improved significantly in the second. There is also fraying present in both ends of the lines so watch out for that as well. There is also a little wobbling present in the Ghosted lines so do draw more confidently even if you overshoot/undershoot your lines.

Ghosted planes looks fine but there is also some wobbling present in the circles. Either be more confident in your lines or try to increase the speed at which you place those lines.

The rest of your linework has wobbling present. Try to eliminate/reduce this error.

Next Steps:

would recommend doing a page where you do Superimposed lines/ghosted planes and reducing the amount of wobbling present

Hey! So, let's start.

The lines look good! Especially straight lines, which you draw with confidence. In contrast, the curved lines don't seem to be drawn with such confidence, so we see some flickering in those lines. You must remember that the priority here: even if the line does not end in the exact place you defined, your goal must be draw with confidence, without flickering.

You also arch a little on the straight lines, which means that you should use your shoulder more so that it doesn't happen.

About other points, you start to draw the lines exactly at the starting point, which is a good sign. Another positive point is that you always put the start and end points before drawing the line - unlike some students, who start to neglect the end point after a few lines.

Second, the section of the ellipses was also well done, but it has the same defect as the curved lines that I mentioned above. But, in general, they are very good: they are within limits you delimited; and, in the funnels, the smaller axis cut them in two symmetrical parts.

Finally, we arrive at the box section. In the Rough perspective exercise, you miss the straight lines, which has not happened before. However, the rest of the exercises are fine: you draw through the boxes; the width lines are parallel to the horizontal lines and the height lines are parallel to the vertical; in organic perspective and in the rotated boxes, the size of the boxes in relation to the perspective are good, despite failing a little in vanishing points.

Next Steps:

Before I let you move on, I’d like to see one more page of the Ghosted planes exercise, and two more page of the Rough perspective exercise, where you’re particularly mindful of the things I’ve pointed out.

The recommendation below is an advertisement. Most of the links here are part of Amazon's affiliate program (unless otherwise stated), which helps support this website. It's also more than that - it's a hand-picked recommendation of something I've used myself. If you're interested, here is a full list.
Staedtler Pigment Liners

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
