Hi Blinky, good job on finishing Lesson 1.

These are my thoughts on your homework exercises.

Lines

Your straight lines look confident, and the points are connected most of the time. There are a few arching lines which could be improved by rotating the paper before you draw a line to find a more comfortable angle to draw, and using your shoulders more. As mentioned in the lesson notes, also try to arch to the opposite direction.

The curves tend to be wobbly here, but as I see your curves in the other exercises, you're improving.

Ellipses

Ellipses in planes: Although there are a few bumpy ones here and there, they generally have smooth lines. There are also a few floating ones, but most of them are touching the edges nicely.

Table of ellipses: The line quality could be improved as they are quite wobbly. The ellipses are within the bounds most of the time, so well done for that.

Funnels: Some ellipses are slanted or off-center. You should always be aware of the center line you've drawn as you draw. The ellipses are touching each other without many overlaps and I think your line quality here is better than before.

Boxes

Plotted perspective: Everything looking good. I suppose you could have drawn more boxes, but it doesn't really matter as long as you've got the hang of how vanishing points work.

Rough perspective: A few vertical lines are slanted. In this exercise all vertical lines should be drawn perpendicular to the horizon line.

Rotated boxes: The boxes at the far ends should converge more towards the vanishing points. If you look at the bottommost left and right boxes for example, their vertical edges are almost parallel rather than going towards the vanishing point. Look where the vertical edges of the bottom center box converge to and you'll see what I mean. If I wasn't very clear, you could have a look at the lesson note for the rotated boxes exercise and see the the boxes on the far ends converge towards each vanishing point. I personally found this to be the hardest exercise in Lesson 1, so well done on finishing it!

Organic perspective: You've came up with some dramatic and interesting compositions. Your boxes should improve over time as you tackle the next exercise, the 250 box challenge.

I hope this helped!
