Im reuploading for better image quality.
Thank you in advance, for whatever you have to say.
I like the fact that you've done your own critiques for this lesson
Shows you're really interested in improving so keep this up m8.
Superimposed lines:
+You've already noticed your mistakes so that's good, keep that in mind for future warm ups.
Ghosted lines/planes
+Overall: very good, nice smooth confident lines that hits both end, good job m8.
Ellipses
+You're drawing over your ellipses which is good, but try to only draw over it only 1 time, that's the sweet spot.
+While they look pretty smooth and confident already, they're still a bit stiff and deformed cuz you're trying to fit them inside the planes. This is what you should strive for yes.But your main priority is to create a smooth nice even stroke, fitting it inside the planes/tables is secondary priority.
Funnels
+Try to keep all your ellipses aligned to the minor axis, keep in mind the minor axis cut your ellipses in two equal half and some of them you can fit a lot more ellipses in.
Boxes:
+Plotted perspective:You can use your ruler for every aspect of this exercises,so the wobbly line weight is just unnecessary difficulty.
+For proper line weight method: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/779528231673004039/885729202765197382/image0.jpg
Rough perspective:
+Same as above only that now you're applying line weight to the back lines which break the solidity of your box.
Organic perspective:
+Overall you followed the instruction, good work but you seems to not understand how to properly use line weight.
Use line weight to establish depth and a hierarchy system, the closest object gets those thicc lines. Here you're apply line weight to the farther boxes which break the illusion of depth.
Rotated boxes:
The big boss of L1,great job for pushing through this and following all of the instruction,if you're interested in further understanding this exercise, check the pinned msg of Lesson 1 on the discord channel.
Next Steps:
Move on to the 250 box challenge
Right from when students hit the 50% rule early on in Lesson 0, they ask the same question - "What am I supposed to draw?"
It's not magic. We're made to think that when someone just whips off interesting things to draw, that they're gifted in a way that we are not. The problem isn't that we don't have ideas - it's that the ideas we have are so vague, they feel like nothing at all. In this course, we're going to look at how we can explore, pursue, and develop those fuzzy notions into something more concrete.
