Love the composition and how you rendered the hair. You using alchol markers for the color?

Long time no see! Thank you for your kind words, Micheal, I enjoyed the composition for this one. The colours are watercolour.

Oh wow, watercolour, that make it alot more impressive. Tried that a handful of times and just made a mess.

I Decided to drop some coin on Marshall Vandruffs perspective course over on Proko and see if it can't get me over my never ending slump. Drawabox was mentioned by one of the community members and had me thinking of the cool folks I met along the way. Glad to see you're still at it and improving. You on artstation, deviant art or Carra?

I make a lot of messes with watercolour, sometimes it is like a slow motion road traffic accident.

Ah, Marshall Vandruff is a treasure, I enjoyed watching some of the draftsman podcasts. I hope the course helps you out of that slump. I'm not very active on social media these days, the only ones I log into regularly are Instagram (to follow people) and Discord (to talk with people). I'd been considering setting up my own website so I'd have more control over the type of content I can share and how it is displayed, but right now that's just a pipe dream. Do you have an Insta account I could follow?

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
