Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

Thanks in advance for your feedback!
Congrats on finishing lesson 1!
Your line exercises are pretty well done. They're consistently smooth, and while they aren't always accurate, you will improve your accuracy with practice.
Your ellipses in tables and planes are mostly confident, though I notice you are drawing your ellipses with more than three passes, which is the maximum number of passes you're allowed to make. Some of these passes are also wobbly, and sometimes ruin the roundness of the ellipse (which matters more than how snugly the ellipse fits into the table or plane).
On your funnels, remember not to slant your ellipses in their funnel. The minor axis should be going through the middle of each ellipse and cutting each one in two symmetrical halves, which can't be done if your ellipses are slanted or if the minor axis doesn't go through the middle. On a few ellipses here I also notice you lost some of your confidence when trying to fit your ellipses in a funnel. Confidence is more important than accuracy, so make sure you don't lose that confidence, even if it results in lower accuracy.
Your perspective exercises in general are well done, and with practice you will improve your convergences. Some of your lines in these exercises aren't as confident as they are in your ghosted lines, so remember that confidence always matters more than accuracy, even if it results in a wrong-looking box. On your rough perspective, I notice that some of your width lines aren't parallel to the horizon and some of your height lines aren't perpendicular to it, which it should be in one-point perspective. On the rotated boxes exercise, I notice some of your boxes, as they rotate diagonally, do not tip back into space as much as they should. Remember, as a box rotates, less of the top face should be visible. On your organic perspective, I noticed you sometimes tried to correct a few lines. Never draw a line more than once, even if it makes your box look wrong. It's no big deal if you made a mistake.

Well done! Remember to keep practicing these exercises in your warm ups, and consider doing a few critiques of other lesson one submissions to both help out the community and solidify your own understanding of these concepts. If you feel unsure of what you should say, here is a guide: https://pastebin.com/dYnFt9PQ
Your next step should be the 250 box challenge.
Thanks so much for the detailed feedback!
I think with the ellipses after a bad pass (which happened a lot) I would go over them again a couple more times which is why many have too many passes. I know that's no excuse so I'll keep practicing those in warmups and limit myself to the correct number of passes! I definitely see your point about the minor axis in the funnels being off - not sure how I missed that as I was doing it!
I'll take your feedback from the boxes exercises into the 250 box challenge! :)
i think you have nice and straight lines :3
Next Steps:
i think you have nice and straight lines :3 , i would train more ellipses
Thanks! I did find ellipses hard, I think the funnel exercise was my weakest of the set as that really showed up how my ellipses were inconsistent!
These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
