Your superimposed lines look smooth and consistent. There are some slight wobbles and arcing in your ghosted lines but overall they look confident and they maintain the correct trajectory. For your table of ellipses, the spaces between your ellipses looks good but some of them have a bit of distortion so I would recommend doing a bit more ghosting so your marks will be more confident.

Some of your ellipses in planes look a bit too loose but ghosting your marks should help you place your marks with more intention. Your ellipses in funnels look fairly well aligned to the minor axis but some of your ellipses are a bit deformed which could be caused by not enough ghosting or drawing too slowly. Some of your lines for the rough perspective exercise were a bit wobbly but I noticed there was an improvement in line quality for your organic perspective exercise so good job there.

Overall, well done and I believe you are ready to move on. I noticed you already completed the box challenge so good luck with lesson 2!

Next Steps:

Move on to lesson 2.

Thanks a lot for your comment! Definitely need more practice on ghosting as it is one thing I struggle a lot.

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
