Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

Really liked and learned a lot! Thanks for the lesson
Hi.
First of all, some of your superimposed lines ended up Fraying on both sides, maybe this has to do with the rings in your notebook.
In the exercise of phantom lines, the accuracy is great, but I think some lines have arched a little. I believe you did it right and used your shoulder to draw, so maybe what you can try to do is arch a little bit to the opposite side.
In some ellipses you have done more than 3 laps, so remember that 2-3 is the ideal number.
Your boxes were good, some lines arched a little, but this will be good with the next training sessions. If you had placed the corners closer to each other in the rotating box exercise, it would have been even better.
You did well in this exercise and I believe you can proceed to the 250 box challenge.
Next Steps:
You can go to the 250 box challenge, try to use my tip of arching a little in the opposite direction, if it doesn't work for you, just keep practicing with your shoulder.
Thanks a lot for the feedback!! I'll work on getting better!
I had some trouble with the notebook rings, I couldn't get some of the angles right. I'll work with separate pieces of paper next time!
This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.
I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.
No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
