Does anyone know how to interpret this texture?

I was checking out some textures for the textures exercise, I came across this texture and I had and still have no clue how to represent this texture. By the way, the image is https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/159455643042408435/. Is there anyone skilled enough at textures who can figure the texture out?

This is not my strong point cause I think sometimes a bit of license needs to be taken with the instructions. However it is still the same process. Look for the cast shadows.

The image doesn't have much of a repeating or consistent pattern pattern too it though so I don't think it is a good example for using here. Without these the eye might struggle to interpret what is going on. Basically it's too complicated IMO to make a good exercise example.

That's my thoughts anyway.

I understand what you mean about it not making a good example for the exericse. I'm still not sure how anyone would go about representing this as a texture. Thank you for your advice though.

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
