Congrats on completing Lesson 1! I'll review your work and see if you are ready to move on to the 250 Box Challenge.

Lines: Superimposed Lines look great. I can see that you took your time with that. Ghosted Lines look great, too even if there's a little wobble here and there. Just always remember to prioritize smooth, confident strokes over accuracy. The same can be said for your Ghosted Planes.

Ellipses: You did great on Tables of Ellipses! Most of your ellipses were smooth and confident and there is very minimal overlapping. Ellipses in Planes look great as well! Always remember if you have weirdly shaped planes, you can draw your ellipses at an angle so you can hit all four sides of the plane much easier. Funnels look great and you even changed the degree of your ellipses in your funnels. Nice work!

Boxes: For some reason on Plotted Perspective, you decided to not draw the entire horizon line, which is really odd. The horizon line doesn't end at a vanishing point so make sure to draw the entire horizon line. Rough Perspective looks pretty good. I can see a lot of improvement in the second page of your work. Your lines can get a little wobbly so remember to take your time when ghosting and executing each line. Also, never repeat your lines because once a line is drawn you have to stick with it no matter how far off it is. Pretty good attempt at Rotated Boxes! You made sure to keep all the boxes rotating and close together. Great work on Organic Perspective! You improved as you went along and I like that there's a good flow and overlapping with your boxes.

Again, great job on Lesson 1! I think you're ready to move on to the 250 Box Challenge. Good luck! :)

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
