3 and 8 are still coming towards the viewer. You said before that you weren’t sure how to make the shading look like it’s on the side of the box instead of the back, and I think that’s making you still extend the lines in the wrong direction.
Up there, I colored in the part you should be shading to make it look like it’s the side of the box instead of the back. I think you’ve been shading between the wrong lines

That side would be correct if I was trying to draw that cube from a top view. But it’s not it’s meant to be viewed from the top. I drew it to be viewed from a bottom view. Which is why the lines are extended the way that they are and why it’s shaded the way that it is. It just gives the illusion that it’s drawn from that top view because we have to draw through the boxes. The top square of cube 8 is not the side facing the viewer it’s the transparent back of the cube. The bottom square of cube 8 is the side that is facing the view..

This is what 3 and 8 would look like if they where not drawn through.
Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks
These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
