Hello, congratulations on completing lesson 1. I’m Ebni and will be critiquing your work.

Your superimposed lines look good with a defined starting pont and all the fraying at one end. On your ghosted lines and planes you sometimes draw multiple strokes for a single line. Each stroke should be a single line. When mistakes happen, you should accept it and move on. Our focus is on drawing smooth, confident lines. Accuracy will come with practice.

Your tables of ellipses look good. You’re applying the ghosting method and drawing through your ellipses with a focus on confidence over accuracy. Ellipses in planes are mostly the same. A few look quite deformed as you focus on keeping the curve in the bounds defined by your planes. Again, focus on smooth ellipse shape over trying to hit all the marks. Your funnels exercise looks good.

Plotted perspective looks good. Your rough perspective has the same issue with redrawing the same strokes, but otherwise looks decent. Rotated boxes looks good as well. It’s a hard exercise. You keep the boxes tight together. Also drawing big and filling the page is good as it helps with visual clarity. Organic boxes is also a solid attempt, aside from the issues already mentioned.

I’ll mark this exercise as complete. Remember to keep revisiting these exercises as warm-ups and keeping the advice from here in mind. Otherwise you’re on to the 250 box challenge!
