I want to become an animator. So can I do draw and animate on the 50% rule. Maybe I'll learn very few things but I'll try not to....

Also another question. Can I copy exactly from an image not for 50% rule or any drawabox thing. But as side of it??

Yes, animation can be part of the 50% rule play time. Of course you don't have to "try" not to learn anything from it, it just shouldn't be your focus.

And yes, you can do other studies and exercises alongside drawabox, as long as you also balance it out with equal time spent on drawing as play. You'll note the separation of your time into one half as play and the other half being any and all courses/exercises/studies/etc. is noted here: https://drawabox.com/lesson/0/2/50percent

I think anything that makes drawing fun for you can be considered for 50-50 rule. Doodles, sketches, animation, go for it

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

Right from when students hit the 50% rule early on in Lesson 0, they ask the same question - "What am I supposed to draw?"

It's not magic. We're made to think that when someone just whips off interesting things to draw, that they're gifted in a way that we are not. The problem isn't that we don't have ideas - it's that the ideas we have are so vague, they feel like nothing at all. In this course, we're going to look at how we can explore, pursue, and develop those fuzzy notions into something more concrete.
