I honestly did not really do any pags with focus on "detail" but i honestly think my thought process was a bit bad.

All of them have some form of lines for detail etc and i sort of forgot about that.

I bascially considerd the pots, potato flowers and some others to not be "detailed" because i did not really add many details but i now see that is a bit flawed,as true consturction should be more like the leftmost plant on the fourth to last page.

I could do 4 more pages that focus purley on no details with my "Newfound wisdom". The more practie the merrier. Cant have enough after all.

I will do more branches to and attempt to priortise more dynamic angles/elipses and try harder on getting totaly smooth lines.

I may have some questions on some statments but i think i will share them with Elodin and see what he makes of them.

Thank you so much for your time! It seems i was doing okay at least. I will push on with your tips. Thank you!

Anytime!

Could you share what Elodins point of view was? It might be useful for me too on how i can improve.

Here ya go. Some are far worse then others and remember to stick to basic shapes was a bit hard and i probably failed a few times. But i think one of the papers was okay.

I learnt a lot/had to rethink some stuff and i think i am on the path to improvment. Take your time

Hey yeah! These branches are a great improvement!

With the first page of plants i see slight improvement. i want to start with the 3rd plant and this is something i just realized now but, what if you started with a leaf for a base shape? this way you can make it fold easier and have something to start with. I can't seem to recall the flower name but i do recognize it.

The potted plants themselves look really solid! Don't forget when you make the pot that you use it like a cylinder starting with a minor axis. It helps a lot with alignment. The second plant seems to be missing some construction at the top but other than that, looking good.

Second page also is a great improvement.

I think the horizontal flower is a rose? It looks good but i think it would've really sold it if you started with a cone like shape

third page and ooohh~ what mushroom is that? It looks fantasy like. Construction looks pretty good. I am noticing here that ellipses look a bit same-ish and the shroom is missing a minor axis but other than that, not bad.

With the final page i see the same-ish ellipses but a lot more confidence and you nailed the bottom left plant other than that part. With the big right plant i saw you forgot to add the forking branch.

I see that the branches themselves were a vast improvement but you forgot the twists and turns they do in the plants. Don't get me wrong, the constructions are not half bad!

Keep an eye out for those and you'll be good.

I hope you're ready for lesson 4 :)

Next Steps:

I still see some hiccups but i'm confident those will reduce as you keep practising.

I hope you're not uncomfortable for insects.

Good luck!

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
