Hello and well done getting through the first lesson, I'll be checking your homework today
Lines
Lines are a bit wobbly but they seem confident and you understand the ghosting method, its easy to forget to do this for every mark and its sometimes a bit tedious, but during warm ups and practcie it should be applied as it will improve all your marks.
Ellipses
You seem to have gone over some of the larger circles more than 3 times, 2-3 is the range, remember to take your time and keep a steady motion, it doesn't have to strain you as long as its one fluid movement.
Boxes
Rough perspective is always rough on the outside boxes, well done hitting the mark, you'll get lots of practice in the next step of your journey so I'll consider this lesson a pass.
Next Steps:
Feel free to move on to the 250 Box Challenge while waiting for the badge for this lesson, try to do a page of ghosted lines every few days at your leisure or use the ghosting method with many of the warm-up routines found online.
The following are my recommendations and NOT a part of the Draw-A-Box program.
Try to take on one of the 30 day drawing challenges, Marc Burnet has one on youtube, and there's another one called "You can draw in 30 days" By Mark Kistler, you can find that one on a book on an online pdf website.
I used a video called "82 | Some Drawing Exercises" by Telepurte for my warm-up routine, they can be done quickly in under 5 mintues and if nothing else, should be the one thing you should do every day (if nothing else) if you want to improve.
Sakura Pigma Microns
A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.
In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
