Good job with completing the first lesson! You're making a lot of good progress. I recommend focusing on straightening your lines and focusing on accuracy going forward. You make good confident strokes in both the Ghosted Lines assignment and Ghosted Planes with little wobble. Don't worry, you'll be getting a lot of that experience with the 250 Box challenge going forward. I recommend warming up with a page of ghosted lines.

You make very smooth, confident movements with the elipses. I recommend focusing on accuracy in the future just so you hit edges of the planes.

You did a very incredible job with the Rotated Boxes assignment. It is a very difficult assignment and pushing through is a good step. You did a good job with following the instructions. I do notice some subtle wobble with the lines but, again, you'll be getting a lot of practice with your boxes in the upcoming 250 Box challenge.

Good work, happy holidays, and keep it up!

Next Steps:

Begin the 250 Box Challenge.

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely catch myself rushing and not focusing on the accuracy of my lines so I'll try to work on that as I draw my boxes. Happy holidays!

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
