This is a repost of my first attampe at this lesson as I miss understode how you were suppost to post them orginal, but luckly I had saved them for reasoned that I don't remamber that also has something to do with the dates writen on them just so you know why there are there

I read some criticism for lesson two that I had made some mistakes on lesson one that carried over, that is also the other reason why I'm reposting it

Also quick note: I have been using the exercises of this lesson and the second as warm ups before drawing, just so you are aware

Super imposed lines

I see some minior fraying at the beginning remember when you are placing your lines make sure to slow down and place your pen in the same position. There is a lot of wobble in these a few tips to correct this:

  1. Draw from the shoulder making sure your elbow and wrist joints are locked

  2. Focus on making confident lines from the shoulder ignore acrruacy until you can make confident lines

  3. Trust your arm even if you feel it going off coruse don't correct it mid stroke finish the stroke then figure out what went wrong

Ghosted lines

There is a lot of wobbling . This singles to me you might be too focused on hitting the dot as opposed to making a confident line. Try to first make a confident line then move on to hitting the dot consistently. Use the steps listed before to improve these

Ghosted planes

These look better to me I see a lot of improvement between this an your ghost lines good job. I still see some wobbling so remember to slow down and ghost your lines a few times (3-10) before placing them down. I suggest when ghosting you should pick up your hand when reach the end of each ghosted line as this helps cement muscle memory of the movement

Table of Ellipses

Your Ellipses are overlapping a bit so I believe you should ghost them a few more times before placing them (When I did them for the first time I ghosted about 10-15 times). I am noticing that some of your circles are not smooth. This most likely due to you not keeping the same speed throughout the whole motion. Avoid slowing down or speeding up during the movement instead try to keep the same speed.

Funnels

Some of your funnels have circles that are all the same degree you seemed to have fixed later on but make sure to make them smaller as they go towards the center. The circles here are better then in the table

Ghosted planes with ellipses

Good these circles stay within the bounds. My suggestion to make the circles a bit smootheris the same as in the table of Ellipses.

Rough perspective

I noticed some of the trouble you had doing this I had issues myself with this one too. One thing that helped me to get better at this was to first understand that only one set of lines should be converging towards the vp while the rest should be going straight off the page. I also made sure to ghost the line towards the vanishing point as well. I think this advice from my own reviewer was very helpful "Remember that the front and back planes of each one of them should have the horizontal lines parallel to the horizon and the vertical lines perpendicular to it." -Pedro Also remember to ghost your lines and draw from the shoulder to prevent the wobbling with your lines.

Rotated boxes

This one is hard as well. I think you may benefit from rereading the homework. but don't worry too much you'll get better with time

Organic Perspective

This one is also a hard one to do at first but become much easier after you do the 250 boxes challege. remember that the perspective lines of each face should converge to a specific vanishing point. I think what really helped me was to draw two dots per line, one that represents the correct ghosted angle to the vp and another that is for the juction between lines that still adhear to this ghosted angle I mentioned before.

Next Steps:

redo one page of Rough Perspective. I think you and I share a major weakness which is Perspective or thinking in 3d. What has been helping me is focusing my 15 min warm up on the Perspective homeworks and trying to use Perspective in my fun drawings. I think this has really helped me understand it better over the past 3 weeks.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

i agree with you about all the other points but uncomfy said that it's not necessary to change the deegre in the funnels exercise.

Since you ailgment wasn't a huge issue I thought I should point it out as in the lesson it says the following "You don't need to worry about this if you're still struggling with the alignment of your ellipses"

I thank you for the criticism. It has made me realize the mistakes I have been making and how little attention too the lessons and how I should improve in the futher.

https://imgur.com/a/yZb1ZUC I hope that I have improved from my previous Rough Perspective attempt, though I still think I need to practice it a few more times before it clicks with me. So I will be doing it again while also doing some other Perspective exercise for warm ups as you suggested for the upcoming weeks to improve my perspective.

I also tried to fouce on drawing with my shoulder and is alot harder and tring then I first thought, but that could also be becase I fouces too much on it

These are much better. Make sure you are continuing the warm ups throughout the rest of your art journey as they are a useful tool to tackle any weakness you find out you have.

Next Steps:

move on to the 250 boxes

Sakura Pigma Microns

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
