Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

I would greatly appreciate any critique. Thanks
Hello, I'll be critiquing your lesson 1 work
Lines
-Staring with superimposed lines, I can see some of the marks look confident, but some look a bit wobbly. It's always good to prioritze confident and smooth lines rather than accurate ones. I believe that you won't have any trouble on this with some more practice.
-Your ghosted lines are looking great and I can see you did them with more confidence. One thing I would like to point out is some of them tend to arch a bit so make sure to always continue your line in one consistent trajectory even if it misses the end point. Overall, these look well done.
-The ghosted planes excercise is follows similar rules to what I said above, and I can see that you committed to these lines better.
Ellipses
-The table of ellipses is looking nice and tidy rather than rushed, but I do see some of them turning out a little uneven. You should always aim to make symmetrical shapes with well rounded ends.
-Moving on to ellipses in planes, I can see that these are a bit uneven as well. You might be thinking that you have to modify the ellipse to touch all contact points of the plane, but instead you should only change the width and what position the ellipse is in. Here is an example of what I mean: https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/dc19ce85.jpg
-Your funnels are turning out nicely and seem to be more symmetrical. One thing here is that you are missing a bit of the alignment on the axis, but with further practice I'm sure you won't have trouble with this.
Boxes
-Yoru rough perspective is turning out well and I do see that the vanishing point estimations are a bit off, but this will improve with practice.
-Rotated boxes are turning out nicely and you also gave a good attempt at the rotation
-Anything related to this box section or anything I didn't mention here will be addressed later in the 250 Box Challenge
I will mark your lesson as complete and you can move on :)
Next Steps:
250 Box Challenge
Thanks for spending time to review my submission and give me feedback :)
I will work on the areas you suggested and move onto the 250 box challenge
A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.
In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
