Finally decided to tackle the fundamentals from square 1!

I'm sorry i couldnt figure out how to get the images in order..

I noticed i particularly had trouble with point to point lines, and drawing shorter lines with my shoulder (hence the wibble wobble)

Please feel free to be as direct as you like :) Anything for the sake of learning!

Hi Colanopy! let's just get right into all of your exercise :

  1. Lines : Overall, great job on the ghosted lines, and superimposed lines exercise! i can see the confidence on the way you do your lines, they're all very straight and very pleasing to look at, keep it up!

  2. Ellipses : And again, you've done a bang up job on those ellipses exercise! and you even draw through your ellipses again (that's very important), great job!

  3. Boxes : Again, you do your exercise precisely as comfy told us to do so, and that's a huge plus! also, i can see some of your boxes has wobbly lines in the rough perspective exercise ( but that doesn't matter cause you've done a great job on all of those exercise!)

Overall, i'm quite satisfied/impressed with the way you do your exercise, you seems to be following precisely on comfy's intruction, and remember, even all of those exercise are really great, the next challenge awaits you, and it becomes harder, and harder the way you push through it. Even so, i want you to keep at it, and do those exercise as an warmup before you draw anything.

Next Steps:

250 boxes challenge is ready :)

Thank you for the critique :)

I'm definitely expecting a challenge ahead (mind blown by some of the future exerecises I've caught glimpses of) but I'll hopefully keep at it without burning out! Definitely going to take the 250 boxes at a steady breathable pace.

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

Right from when students hit the 50% rule early on in Lesson 0, they ask the same question - "What am I supposed to draw?"

It's not magic. We're made to think that when someone just whips off interesting things to draw, that they're gifted in a way that we are not. The problem isn't that we don't have ideas - it's that the ideas we have are so vague, they feel like nothing at all. In this course, we're going to look at how we can explore, pursue, and develop those fuzzy notions into something more concrete.
