Hi there, I'll be handling your box challenge critique.

Congratulations on completing the challenge, it's definitely not an easy task and people underestimate the willpower needed to get through it all. Be proud of what you've accomplished so far and the desire to learn that you've shown.

To start off with your line work is definitely looking tidier and more confident by the end of the challenge. It's even more so noticeable in your hatching which at times had some noticeable wobbling occur, do be careful about over-crowding your face with too many lines though it can be get a bit too visually noisy. Your line weight application improves as well but does get a bit heavy handed at times, remember we want to be applying it subtly rather than going over our line multiple times and making it too thick.

It's good to see that you're experimenting with proportions and orientations, experimentation is key to deepening our understanding of new concepts so this is an excellent habit to be building, keep it up.

Your convergences do appear to be improving throughout the submission but I also notice that it appears like you're trying to keep your lines as parallel as you can and sometimes your lines converge in pairs. Take a look at this example it shows the relation between a set of lines and their vanishing point. You'll notice that the inner pair of lines remains fairly similar while the outer pair can vary a lot depending on the location of the vanishing point. The closer you move this point the faster the lines will begin to converge, while the further the point the closer to parallel our lines will become. The key things to remember here are that our lines shouldn't be diverging from the vanishing point, they should always be converging as an entire set and due to perspective we aren't aiming for our lines to be perfectly parallel.

Overall you have some things to work on but you did show a good amount of growth through the challenge, I have no doubt that if you experiment with different rates of foreshortening by moving your vanishing point around you'll continue to see improvement. I'll be marking your submission as complete and moving you on to the next lesson.

Keep practicing previous exercises as warm ups and good luck in lesson 2!
